Forbidden Kingdom

Hello everyone! Another new painting which i have been working on recently. I enjoyed working on this piece as it was fun dealing with asian architecture which is a favourite of mine. I had alot of fun coming up with the colour palette for the piece which i thought suited the look i was going for. Hope you guys like it and do look forward to more work coming from me in the weeks to come! Cheers~

Warehouse Power Reactor H-47

Hello everyone, this was a new piece of work that i had been painting for 2 weeks on and off. Took some time to finish it off. I've been really busy lately as i will be graduating from basic military training center in about 3 weeks time, which hopefully means i will have more time to chug out work. I'm recently hooked on painting sci-fi stuff. Hopefully i will do some fantasy paintings soon. As usual, im always experimenting with new techniques and trying out different ways to approach a painting.

Neon Tokyo

Hello everyone. A new concept painting that i have been working on. I've always wanted to try out painting one of those blade runner inspired cities as they always seem so atmospheric and epic. I used some matte painting techniques for this piece as i wanted to explore different styles and ways to approach a painting. I would say that this piece is a change from all the fantasy environments that i have been painting and it is definitely a breather for me. Will definitely do more of these kind of paintings in the future. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Cheers!

Jungle Paradise

Hello everyone. Another piece that i have been working on during my weekend out from army life. I took a different approach by starting this piece with color, rather than my usual preference of greyscale. Through the process, i definitely feel there are pro's to starting a piece with color. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Time taken was around 3 to 4 hours. Cheers~

Ancient Structure

Hello everyone. A new concept art piece that i did a day ago. I experimented with some new techniques, and it was a really fun piece to paint. The concept for this piece was to design the environment where a structure was located at. Nobody knows how it got there, but there are definitely signs that living beings have taken it and made it their home. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Hope you guys like it. Cheers!

Hello everyone. This was a piece that painted about a month ago. It was for the cover of an online audio horror fiction podcast called "Tales To Terrify". I was really honored to be featured in this months show as a guest artist at the beginning of the episode. Do check out the podcast if you're a lover of stories as they feature some of the best stories every week on the show. Also check out the hugo award winning "Starshipsofa" podcast if you're a fan of science fiction stories. I'll have both of the links below for the website. Cheers everyone!

Nightmare Canyon

Hello everyone. Bringing you another piece that i did. I almost lost this piece halfway through painting it as i was stupid enough to mess around with some windows settings on my computer in order to speed it up, and that kinda let to my hard drive crashing and i had to reformat my entire windows. Luckily i managed to load safe mode and grab all my paintings as well as my brush set. Painted in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Took around 4 hours to paint this piece minus all the technical issues. Cheers guys!

Sanctuary In The Mountains

Hello everyone! A new piece i started working on today. Tried out some new photoshop brushes. Pretty cool stuff. Total time taken for this piece was around 5 hours give or take. I was watching a lecture by James Paick on my second monitor while painting along with him. He's such an amazing artist/teacher and i really learnt alot from his tutorials.

Village At The Peak

Hey guys! Managed to put aside some time to do a personal piece. I pretty much stuck with a traditional approach by using only one brush for most of this painting and also avoided photo textures. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email and i'll try to reply them as soon as possible. Cheers!

Rocky Environment

Hey everyone! Back to painting some environments. Theres nothing i'd rather do on a friday night than to pick up my wacom tablet and paint something. Environments have always been my area of interest and i definitely hope to be able to take up an industrial design course in the future. This piece was done in photoshop CS5 and i tried to avoid photo textures as well. Cheers!

Templar's Path

Hello everyone. Its been about 2 weeks since the release of Diablo 3, and i gotta admit, i've been playing that game alot and its probably time to slow it down and get back to practicing, Decided to paint something tonight to get the momentum going. Painted this concept piece in about 3 hours give or take in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4. Not to mention, i was also listening to a very nice 3 hours uplifting trance playlist on youtube, definitely helped with the painting! Cheers everyone and keep practicing!

Existence

Existence is one of those pieces which i would call sudden inspiration. I had the sudden urge to paint something in the early hours of the day, and the whole piece came together in under 3 hours. Its fascinating how i'm always learning something new whenever i start a new piece. Hope you guys like it.

Guild Wars 2 Tribute

Hi everyone. It's been awhile since my last update. Been really busy finishing up some freelance projects before the release of Diablo 3 on 15th May. Finally got some time to do a personal piece. My painting style has been changing slowly as i explore new and different techniques to approach a painting. Recently theres been alot of hype about Guild Wars 2 seeing as how the beta weekend had just passed. The game looks great and i'm really looking forward to it, so i decided to paint a tribute piece. I'm really a big fan of the artist's over at ArenaNet, namely Kekai, Richard Anderson and Daniel Dociu. Their works are amazing, so be sure to check them out! Done in Photoshop CS5 with Wacom Intuos 4.

Daily Deviation And A Great Week!

Well everyone, its been one hell of a week. Finally finished my portfolio show after 3 days of exhibition. It was a really fun experience as i met new friends and people who were interested in art and also people that were in different industries and line of work. However to top all of that, i found out that one of my art pieces had been awarded the daily deviation. It really came as a surprise to me as i didn't expect my work to be able to make it as a daily feature. I definitely want to thank everyone that has made this possible, and i will continue to create better art pieces. Lastly, i want to thank everyone that has fav'd, commented on the piece and new people that have watched me, i might not be able to comment back and thank every one of you personally, but know for a fact that i am definitely very grateful for your support. Cheers and have a great week ahead!
